Our KS2 SATs Results 2019

Brilliant Results

Well done to the class of 2019! The school’s academic results have now been officially published by the DfE. However, I am pleased to announce that our 2019 KS2 SATs results are above national and local standards. This year’s success is a testament to the hard work of the Year 6 pupils who have just left, and the determination of our teachers and teaching assistants that every child should meet their full potential throughout their whole time at Worstead. The information below can also be found at  https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk/school/121066/worstead-church-of-england-primary-school/primary

What Does It All Mean?

Attainment is the % of children in the year group who have reached the 'Expected Standard' set by the government. Combined attainment means reaching this standard in all three core areas – reading, writing and maths. Progress compares pupils’ attainment at the end of KS1 with that at KS2, to see whether they have kept pace and fulfilled their early potential. 0 means expected progress and anything on 0 or higher is good. Our Scaled Score shows in simple terms, our pupils' average test score, with 100 being the 'expected standard' (i.e. the pass mark) and 110 being the 'higher standard'. Worstead children matched the national average score and outperformed Norfolk as a whole.

Our children also did well at the 'higher standard' - 31% achieved highly in reading, 13% in writing and 19% in maths and 31% in GPS. 6% scored highly across the board, in all three of reading, writing and maths.
